Glittering waves, seagulls drifting on the wind, white clouds against a deep blue sky, seals lounging on a sandbank: Even as you arrive, Pellworm shows you its very best side. Your deceleration begins right now – on board the Pellworm ferry as it travels through the Wadden Sea. When you catch sight of the red-and-white lighthouse, the "MeerLand" is not far away.
Ferry crossing and a short journey to the hotel
The hotel is located not far from the North Sea – close to the lighthouse and within walking distance of the dike, the green swimming beach, and a dog beach. If you arrive by car, you can park at Nordstrand and let the ferry take you to Pellworm. Should you wish to bring your car onto the island, you will find plenty of parking spaces at our hotel.
The crossing from the mainland takes a good half hour. From there, it is just a few more minutes to the hotel on the North Sea island of Pellworm. Along the way, you’ll pass peacefully grazing sheep and lambs – they greet you from the salt marshes and dikes.
If you have arrived by train or bus, the Pellworm island shuttle service will take you directly to “MeerLand.” It is best to call and reserve in advance: +49 4844 1515.
Further important information for your arrival
When traveling by public transport, take the train to Husum and from there bus 140 to the ferry at Nordstrand. From the ferry to the hotel, you can reach us either on foot, by bike, or with the island shuttle service (+49 4844 1515). Our tip: If you create your visitor card (Kurkarte) in advance at home, you will benefit from many advantages as soon as you arrive, such as a discounted fare in the island taxi. You will receive the link to the visitor card upon request via email or one day before your arrival.
